See Dragon In The Field

The sage Fuxi looked up at astronomy and looked down at geography. Take the image of oneself adjacent and everything far away. He found that although everything is diverse and complicated, it is all within the eight images of sky, land, wind, thunder, water, fire, mountain and lake. Although the natural world and human society are changing, They all belong to the nature of Yin and Yang. There are Yin and Yang in static and Yin and Yang in dynamic. The two are opposite to each other, but no one can exist without the other one.

He summarized all things in the world into eight diagrams, which are the eight manifestations in nature: Qian is sky, Dui is lake, Xun is wind, Li is fire, Kan is water, Zhen is thunder, Gen is mountain, Kun is land. Fuxi carved the eight diagrams on bone slices and enshrined them on the God table, seeking to use the power of the great gods.Drawing Fuxi's Early Eight Diagrams.

Qian is sky, Kun is land, they have certain positions above and down.Gen is mountain, Dui is lake, interactive ventilation. The mountain belongs to continental climate, Lake is a maritime climate, and the interactive ventilation of climate produces winter and summer monsoon. Zhen is thunder, Xun is wind, and wind and thunder are corresponding to each other. Kan is water and Li is fire,They are Contrary to each other. The eight diagrams are intertwined with each other .In order to count the past, we must deduce from the forward direction, to predict the future, we must push back the results. ZhouYi uses divination to determine the good or bad in the future, and uses the backward method to measure the world.

2000 years later, King Wen of Zhou, the Lord of the vassal state Zhou, was diligent in politics and attracted talents, he recruited Lv Shang (aka Jiang Ziya) as military master, imitating the ancient methods.
